Starfell - Willow Moss and the Vanished Kingdom

Serie/Series: Ja, del 3/Yes, part 3.
Författare/Author: Dominique Valente.
Genre: Fantasy.
Språk/Language: Engelska/English.
Sidor/Pages: 282.

(English below)

"Oswin handed Willow a biscuit. 'Jes imagine all the time we could 'ave saved if they jes believed us from the start'.
Willow took it and let out a small laugh.
To her astonishment, her mother ruffled the kobold's fur and grinned.
'Your cat might actually have a point.'
'Oh, fer the last time, despite 'aving ter pretend fer like a second that I is one to save our skins... I is still NOT A BLOOMING CAT!' "

💥        💥        💥         💥

Story: Willow Moss is starting school with ordinary children, but she is very suspicious of this change. Why would the Brothers of Wol let magical children be mixed with those without magic? She knows something is up but no one believes her.
In the classroom she meets the boy Peg and the girl Twist, who can control the northern wind. Soon they realise that something is wrong and they decide to stop their arch nemesis, but how? They first need to find a vanished kungdom and then localize a magical staff before their enemy does.

My opinion about the book: I just love these books! They are fun, quirky and so cosy. The illustrations are amazing and really hightens the reading experience. I also love that the text fonts change depending who's talking (for some characters, but not for everyone or all the time). It really makes it a lot more fun. The plot was suspenseful and had a high pace from the start and I love to follow Willow when she meets her friends, because she knows so many different types of people. Willow is also a very nice characters. She's stubborn and believes in herself, despite no one else doing it. She's king and wants to do what is right. I also love her companion the kobold Oswin (a monster from "under the bed"), he's a bit grumpy and lazy but very cute. I also like that you get to explore more of the Starfell world and meet different kinds of creatures but also to get more background information about different kungdoms and such.
I have nothing negative to say about this book or series. I have loved every book so far and really look forward to the next one!

I give it 4.5 of 5💀
