Handling: Arthur och Rose Trout är två 11-åriga tvillingar. På sina skollov brukar de åka hem till sin farfar/morfar och spendera tid där. Farfar/morfar är lite excentrisk och samlar på väldigt mycket saker, men mest är han både rolig och snäll.
När tvillingarna var små brukade de leka att de var i sitt påhittade land Roar. Där fanns det både sjöjungfrur, drakar, ninjatrollklarlar och enhörningar. För att komma dit fick man krypa igenom farfars/morfars ihopvikta campingsäng.

Eftersom de nu är 11 år tycker Rose att det inte längre är kul eller passande att låtsas om att de är i Roar. Både hon och Arthur har börjar förlora minnen därifrån men en dag försvinner deras farfar/morfar och mystiska saker börjar hända i huset. Arthur vill inte riktigt tro det, men det verkar inte bättre än att de måste återvända till Roar igen. Fast allt det var väl bara på låtsas... Eller?


Min åsikt om boken: Detta var ännu en mysig barnbok som innehöll både magi, fantasi, drakar, läskiga typer och ett budskap om att alltid ha tron kvar. Jag fastnade inte riktigt lika mycket för den som jag har gjort med andra liknande böcker, för jag tyckte att den saknade nånting, men den var inte dålig. Det var spänning, action och nya twister hela tiden samt att slutet knöts ihop på ett bra sätt. Den var helt ok med andra ord. Jag gillade dock illustrationerna väldigt mycket, de var både söta och roliga! Jag tror många barn mellan 9-12 år skulle tycka om boken. Kapitlen är korta och berättelsen är lättläst, så den är enkel att hänga med i. Men som sagt, inget jag fastnade så jättemycket i men den var lite lagom, varken bra eller dålig.

Story: Arthur and Rose Trout are two 11 year old twins. On their school holidays they usually visit their Grandad and spends time their. Grandad is a bit excentric and hoards a lot of thing, but mostly he's both fun and kind.
When the twins were younger they usued to play that they were in made up land of Roar. Mermaids, dragons, ninja wizards and unicorns lived there. To get to Roar they had to crawl through their Grandads folded camping bed.

Since they're now 11, Rose doesn't think it's fun or appropriate anymore to pretend they're in Roar. Both her and Arthur are starting to lose their memories of the made up land but one day their Grandad disappears and mysterious things starts to happen in the house. Arthur doesn't really want to believe it, but it seems like they must return to Roar again. But it was all a game... Right?

My opinion of the book: This was yet another cute children's book containing magic, dragons, scary creatures and a message of keeping one's faith. The book didn't really stick with me like many other similar books has in the past, because I felt like something was missing, but it wasn't bad. There was suspension, action and new twists all the time and the ending was really well made. It was okey so to speak. I did however like the illustrations very much, they were both cute and funny! I think a lot of children between 9-12 years old would like this book. The chapters were short and the story easily read, so it was no problem to get a grip of the story. But as I said, it just didn't really stick to my on a deeper level, so it was a bit average, not bad but not that great either.
